Unfurling Furling is a process-based interactive installation. The major part of this work was created using ultralight paper clay spread vigorously over 60 meters of bubble wrap, creating a cast of the bubble texture and the movement of the spreading. This skin was then rolled up, brought to the gallery and spread out. Small white figures were placed on the surface, creating a vast landscape in miniature. The second part of this installation appears as an organ with many pipes made of straws and straw coverings. The viewer is invited to blow through the straws to reveal hidden pictures and messages rolled inside the wrappers. Dimensions variable, 2009.
